Code of conduct

The Code of Conduct is designed to provide staff with guidance on appropriate ethical standards for work-related behaviour.

The code is based on the ethical principles and values contained in the Public Sector Ethics Act 1994:

  • integrity and impartiality
  • promoting the public good
  • commitment to the system of government
  • accountability and transparency.

The code explains how to put these principles and values into practice.

It has been developed in consultation with our staff and is applicable to all employees, including volunteers, contractors, consultants and anyone employed in any other capacity.
