Model public interest disclosure procedure

The Office of the Queensland Ombudsman, as the oversight agency under the PID Act, has developed the Model Public Interest Disclosure Procedure to assist agencies fulfil their legislative obligations.

A procedure should be developed in accordance with principles set out in your agency’s Public Interest Disclosure Policy.  Your agency’s policy and procedure can be combined in a single document.  The Model Public Interest Disclosure Procedure identifies some policy principles which agencies may wish to adopt or adapt.
