New practical, interactive training to develop the necessary skills of officers
30 Jul 2020
The Queensland Ombudsman offers practical and interactive training designed for public service officers.
We are excited to announce two new training courses:
- Practical ethics for local government
For local government officers in Queensland
This interactive half-day course challenges participants with ethical questions in various scenarios. You will work through individual and group activities relating to conflicts of interest, the appropriate use of your position and recordkeeping. You will learn how to make ethical decisions that take into account key public sector values such as integrity, impartiality, accountability and transparency. Read more >
Our previous ‘Public sector ethics’ course has been split into specific training on practical ethics designed for the needs of the local government and state government sectors.
Choose the training and whether it’s delivered in open or group sessions. Open sessions are held in Brisbane and regional areas throughout the year for up to 25 officers per session. If you have 10 or more staff who would like to attend training, group sessions are a more cost-effective option.
Training will be delivered in compliance with all published COVID-19 guidelines
