Our Office also provides advisory services which are free of charge and aim to assist agencies to improve their administrative practices, decision-making and complaint handling.
Our advisory services include:

- introduce officers to our investigation processes and the types of complaints we receive
- provide tips on how to avoid being the subject of a complaint
- preview sessions which showcase our Office’s training packages
- agency advisory meetings to discuss and work with policy officers who may be developing
agencies complaint management systems
- complaint management workshops to help agencies comply with the State Government's

- Community information sessions which aim to:
- introduce and explain the role of the Queensland Ombudsman’s Office
- enhance understanding of our complaint process.
