Miriam Vale IPA Report (2006) This investigation reviewed the Miriam Vale Shire Council’s management of development applications under the Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA). It examined whether the council was complying with the requirements of the IPA when assessing applications and whether its customer service and recordkeeping processes were adequate. The investigation identified major concerns with inadequate recordkeeping and training provided to the staff on the technical requirements of the IPA and basic customer service skills and standards. The report was tabled on 5 December 2006.
